How it works

Kelsey head shot.jpg

I'm Kelsey, born and raised in Maui Hawaii, I became a musician the Hawaiian way; learning from anyone who would teach me. Come to find out, I was really good at it! So, I went to college.

This program was created by me. Combining the techniques I learned jamming with my uncles in the backyard, and the classical training I received from Oral Roberts University, I discovered how to blend raw passion with technical skill, finding the magical feeling only music can create.

I want to give that magic to you.

The Family Music Mastery Program

Family Music Mastery was created by a self-taught musician turned classically trained artist with one goal in mind — to help people experience the magic of playing the songs they love. There truly is nothing like it.

This program blends music theory with modern playing styles to empower each person to play what inspires them. Our goal is to help you discover that indescribable feeling that comes from making music.

You are able to choose from 2 options: joining an 8 week cohort (see below) or choosing private lessons. This is what we recommend as it is completely customizable to helping each musician reach their own goals. Choose your instrument, class time and playing style and we'll help you soar. We offer piano, bass, double bass, electric and acoustic guitar, drums and beginner voice.

Our 8-week cohort program features a pre-selected instrument, song, and class time. Participants — whether individuals or members of the same household — learn together from home alongside musicians from around the world. This format is perfect for homeschool families, school groups, or individuals of any age. We especially recommend it for beginner and intermediate musicians.
The first 30 minutes of the 1 hour session will be spent learning the theory and chords required to play the song. The last 30 minutes are for questions and individual practice time. In order for this system to work, we ask each student commit to practicing 15-30 minutes 5 times a week for the duration of the 8 week period.

For those seeking a more personalized experience, we also offer individual lessons — available online or in person (Local Oregon, USA only). These 30-minute sessions are fully tailored to each musician’s goals and scheduled weekly to fit your life. You choose the instrument, songs and meeting time. We create a weekly practice plan based on what theory you need to accomplish those goals that inspire.
